The event, anchored by Pharmacist Chiamaka Ruth Echeta, held at Meblink Pharmacy, Ikenegbu Layout, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. It commenced with a brief talk on asthma, its symptoms, identification of possible triggers and management. There were practical demonstrations on the use of the pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI), accuhaler and the peak flow meter. Educational pamphlets on asthma were distributed to customers.
Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria
The event, anchored by Dr. Kosisochi Chinwendu Amorha, held at the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria Enugu State Branch meeting. In attendance were: Prof. Chinwe Victoria Ukwe, Assoc. Prof. Patrick Obinna Udeogaranya and Pharm. Abdulmuminu Isah. It was focused on enlightening pharmacists on their roles on world advocacy days, including the World Asthma Day. Pharmacists were educated on asthma and its management. They were also encouraged to join the Asthma Awareness and Care Group.
