  1. Arrange school visits – educate children about asthma and offer on-the-spot peak flow meter testing (these activities would be combined with plays, concerts or poetry competitions highlighting the concept of asthma control).
  2. Update the educational content on our website.
  3. Stage a meeting at your office, department, school, workplace etc. to update your colleagues, classmates etc. on latest knowledge in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Secure sponsorship from a pharmaceutical company to hold a public on-the-spot peak flow meter testing and education for participants in collaboration with health professionals.
  5. Organize debates about local issues affecting asthma control – e.g. pollution, smoking, access to asthma care and medication.
  6. Have a radio talk on asthma – It does not have to be only on the World Asthma Day.
  7. Organize an outdoor meeting where you educate participants about managing asthma in an outdoor environment.
  8.  Set up a display of asthma information in your office, department, school, workplace.
  9. Host a panel discussion at a group for parents and teachers (Parents-Teachers Association, PTA, meeting) in which two or three parents of children with asthma discuss their experiences with asthma control. Invite a pulmonologist or other suitable health professional to be part of the discussion.
  10. Follow up at least one asthma patient.
  11. Organize an essay competition/poetry on asthma in secondary schools and/or universities. State asthma themes that should be covered in the essay/poem.
  12. Create games for children that will educate them about asthma control.
  13. Provide a radio advertisement/jingle on asthma.
